Fonix share their Top 10 takeaways from yesterday’s breakfast event: ‘Pick ‘N’ Mix TV.

Joanna Cox, General Manager at aimm, opened the event by explaining how TV habits have changed: the days of having only three channels seem a lifetime away now that we’re so spoilt for choice. She talked about how the payment methods offered for content consumption need to be as frictionless as possible — more purchases are being made than ever before.

Joanna was joined by EE, BT Sport and Twitter amongst others to talk about the ‘ Payment Mix for OTT Audiences’.

REMINDER: PSA Consultation – Guidance on the retention of data

The PSA have put forward proposals to clarify expectations on how long providers retain data, in the event of an investigation where such data will be required. The PSA are now consulting on Guidance which sets out new expectations for the retention of data relevant to their investigatory processes, and are calling for responses.

The full consultation details can be found here.

We would like to invite members to provide their feedback to aimm in order for us to prepare a response. This will be in the form of calls, or where appropriate, conference calls, over the next few weeks.

Please let the aimm Executive know if you would like to contribute by Wednesday 20th February.

Make an afternoon of it this month!

On the 29th January why not join aimm for two interesting events and save on the travel!

At 15:00 we will be running our first General Meeting of the year, where the Board will be providing a deeper look into the strategy and direction that they have been working hard on. This is based on members views and feedback that we have been collating over the last few months, ensuring that we focus aimm in the directions that will have maximum benefit for all our members.

Then following this at 18:00 it will be our first networking evening of the year just around the corner in a lovely location with private bar. Come and join us and other members across the interactive media industries to have a catch up over a drink or two and make some new contacts, and get your 2019 business plans off to a head start with new collaboration opportunities.
