aimm continually strive to work with regulatory bodies and industry leaders to ensure positive change that benefits our members’ businesses. See below for some of our achievements.

  • 2025
    Google Ads Best Practice Guide
    aimm created a new Working Group in 2025 to look at the confusion and compliance issues arising from Google Ads from across the interactive media industry. Working closely with MCP Insight this Working Group run round tables with members to identify where further clarity and education was needed and how to remain complaint with Google Ads. This resulted in our Google Ads Best Practice Guide being produced and offered to industry.

    Liased with Regulators for new Regulator take-over
    Through 2024 and early 2025, aimm worked closely with both the Phone-paid Services Authority (PSA) and Ofcom during the transition of Regulatory power. During this time we ran numerous member workshop, consultations and round tables to ensure Members were kept updated of this transition and the resulting in changes to industry regulation, to ensure all our members remained compliant during this change over. Following Ofcom coming into power aimm produced and ran Regulatory training through 2025 for those who wanted to have full understanding of their regulatory obligations.

    aimm reviews strategy to improve membership value
    With new General Manager Joanna Cox at the helm, the Board took the time to review aimm's current direction and focus and have decided that in order to ensure that members feel the full value of membership our strategy needed to be reviewed. The aim is to put all our members back into the heart of aimm, to help create an environment that will see our members businesses thrive. The Board and the Executive Team are currently consulting with members to facilitate our strategy and are providing progress updates to members via the GM.

    Consultation to PSA review of phone-paid services
    aimm worked with members for input into the proposed review of PSA's review of its regulation of phone-paid services offered on a subscription basis, and submitted a consultation to PSA based on members feedback on this. Response to this consultation will be given later in the year.

    aimm objects to PSA proposed product registration
    aimm wrote to PSA on the behalf of our members to object to the proposed changes on product registration on the simple basis that there was no obvious or stated consumer or regulatory benefit from the proposals, to counteract the administrative burden imposed and potential regulatory risk increases.

    Alternative Dispute Resolution now available for aimm members
    aimm has worked with the Consumer Dispute Resolution Services Ltd to provide their service to aimm members. Membership is free and each case handled is economical. Full details of the scheme provided to members at GM, and detailed in Members Benefits leaflet for further info

    aimm responds to PSA Consultation on Special Conditions for Society Lotteries
    The April draft aimm response to PSA’s Consultation on Special Conditions for Society Lotteries is available on our website for member review but is also subject to final review and approval by aimm’s Board.

    SIA review and AIT procedures
    aimm is working with members and others across the industry to look at this. aimm has consolidated input and discussed a review of the AIT procedure and a review of SIA. These discussions are currently ongoing with relevant parties.

    Another successful Power50 Conference
    In May aimm run another successful Power50 conference in London. Focusing on future led topics we had speakers from: Deloitte and Bango speaking on Consumers and Trends; Insureblocks, Fladgate and Reality Clash discussing Blockchain and Smart Contracts Onedox, IMImobile and Open Identity Exchange looking at new technologies and opportunities MobileSquared, OpenMarket and ITV joined us for the afternoon to discuss the interesting topic of  opportunities with RCS
