AIME’s Power50 Conference was held on October 1st at the Cobham Hilton and was a truly informative and profitable day for all delegates. The event, sponsored by Vodafone saw an impressive Industry Specialist speaker line up to ensure AIME promise of a day packed with information did not disappoint.
Speakers included Roy Vella from Vella Ventures, Steve Rickets from ATAO, Nick Lane from MobileSquared, Nicholas Ralf from Dentons, John Pinchbeck from Ticketing Consultancy, Niclas Granholm from Gemalto, Anuj Khanna from Peak State Consulting and Tony Craddock from Emerging Payments Association. They presented a range of relevant and interesting insights into the current and future environment including a regulatory overview of PSD2 and Consumer Rights, opportunities with e-money, new opportunities from entertainment and transport ticketing, emerging technologies and consumer behavioural changes. The insights provided delegates with potential business opportunities and direction.
Delegates were given the opportunity to brainstorm and discuss how to address challenges facing their own businesses and examined ways to take advantage of new avenues and revenue streams to strengthen business.
The conference was followed by a relaxed networking drink at the hotel bar, where delegates continued to discuss the day’s new information and mix business with pleasure. 20 of the 50 attendees then stayed for an evening meal and continued discussions. Representatives from Mobile Operators, Broadcasters, Payment Intermediaries, Aggregators, Charities and Digital Content providers made up the 50 strong delegate.
Any conference is tested by its participant feedback and quite a few emails arrived the next day:
“A great event “
“We found it really useful and have taken away some good ideas, we really enjoyed the day.”
“Just wanted to say thank you for putting together the day yesterday. I wasn’t really sure what to expect, but it turned out to be a really interesting day.”
“Thank you – very well organised and enjoyable day. I thought it was very positive throughout.”
